Stock Recommendations By Top Analysts Table.

What are the top analysts in a stock recommending for that stock now? This table lists the stock recommendations from #1/2/3 analysts in a stock. The list s then trimmed to eliminate stocks with a very small market capitalization and those recommendations with below a basic minimum Projected ROI as of current date. (Hint: to see the stock recommendations of top analysts in our entire coverage universe, please visit /top-rated-analysts-by-stock-performance).

How Do I Read This List?

Each row describes one recommendation in a easy to understand past–present–future framework.

The first column shows the stock's NSE ticker and its price history over last 12 months.

The second column lists the analyst making this recommendation and their brokerage/research firm. Sometimes a team of analysts might make a joint recommendation. Click on the rev history link to see the revision history of this recommendation (coming soon).

The third column details the recommendation's performance to-date (the "past"), and the Implied ROI of the recommendation as of current date (the "future"). The first little circle on left marks the original recommendation date and the then-price. The middle circle marks stock's current price, and the line connecting the two left circles shows how much has the stock risen (or fallen) since the original recommendation date. The circle on right marks the target price of the recommendation, and the line connecting the two right circles shows how much the stock price has to further rise (or fall) for the recommendation to hit the bull's eye.

When the recommendation is a SELL, returns are calculated assuming one sold the stock short. Quite naturally this strategy is not for the faint of heart.

Top Ranked Analysts Table.

Cutting across stocks and sectors, who are the most highly ranked analysts? This table shows the analysts sorted by their overall performance score based on all of their recommendations regardless of the stock or sector of the reco. Each row shows the analyst name, his or her current brokerage/research firm, and the overall rank. The bars on right show the analyst's relative positioning on three key performance metrics – ROI generation, accuracy in setting target prices, and ROI generation for risk taken (i.e., the Sharpe Ratio. (see FAQ: What Is Sharpe Ratio).

Analysts who are no longer actively making recommendations are naturally excluded from this list since our primary focus is on bringing out actionable investment ideas for further evaluation.

Stocks With Extreme Up(Down)Side Table.

Based on the existing recommendations, which stocks have the most potential to rise or fall? While you ponder that and look at some of the Implied ROIs in amazement, it is worth noting that what might possibly have happened is that the stock moved in a direction opposite to what the analyst had projected. But the analyst is sticking to their grounds. In any event, it might be worthwhile – at least for some – to look here for some rather interesting starting point.

Please see FAQ: Stock Recommendations By Top Analysts Table for a quick how to read this table. Each row shows exactly one recommendation using the same past–present–future framework. The recommendations are sorted by the Implied ROI, based on the time horizon selected.

    .
  • Recommendations with less than 1 month left in time horizon are not included in this table.
  • Recommendations not updated by the analyst for over 5 months are not included in this table.
  • User can filter recommendations by their time horizons, such as those with target dates within 1-2 months, 2-3 months, 3-5 months, 6+ months. In all but the last grouping, the selected recommendations are sorted by Implied ROI. In the last grouping, the selected recommendations are sorted by annualized Implied ROI as there can be considerable variations in their time horizon.

In addition, one can also see the user community sentiment on how likely is that recommendation going to pan out, and enter their own sentiment. One can vote as many times as one wishes; only the most recent vote counts.

User can also add the analyst, the stock, or that particular recommendation to their favourites list for ease of tracking.
