Our present technology stack is from Javascript/CSS at the front-end to a middle tier on Java/Spring, on to a backend on Postgres. Offline, we use primarily R for analytics and GATE and openNLP for processing raw text which we have in tons. Running on a Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Wordpress, GATE platform. Plus a bunch of varied tools and technologies to support log analysis, social media, behavior mining, data mining, machine learning and model building. We script in shell, Apache, PHP.

We are looking for a Principal Engineer or a hands-on Director of Engineering level member for our growing team. Work experience guidance: about 10-15 years or more. If you have seen and used a floppy disk then you understand how technology shapes processes.

You will be growing and leading a team comprising currently of about a dozen+ very sharp engineers with diverse backgrounds, plus some student interns from top Indian institutes. You will be expected to architect for the product roadmap; build scalable, high-performance and robust technology frameworks; deliver on them; and be leading by example.

In addition to effective technical leadership, you will also have – or be capable of acquiring quickly – the goods on the securities and investments domain. You will also possess the soft skills necessary to obtain and maintain the respect and commitment up and down.

In this role you will be working very closely with the company and product leadership, the market data team and the technical advisory board. You will also be routinely interacting with third-party vendors and partners at all levels and modes. Our work style on the whole is consensus driven, and the organization structure is expected to remain rather flat for a length of time.

You will also be routinely interacting with third-party vendors and partners at all technical levels. In this Interactive Design position, you will hold direct, hands-on responsibility for the user interface of MilkorWater 's financial investment tools. This will involve analysing client usage patterns to discover opportunities for design improvement and demonstrating judgment to optimize between customer needs and engineering constraints. Despite our product's analytical nature, your daily challenge will be to review our designs and discover opportunities for simplification and improved ease of use. Successful individuals will possess a strong on-line portfolio, be able to demonstrate a knowledge and application of core design principles including the visual presentation of quantitative information, and have experience developing and documenting use cases, task flows, screens and interaction designs.

We are looking to add a seasoned Database Engineer to our growing team who can assume ownership of all structured data at MilkorWater.

In this critical role you will be expected to work with the current database engineering team and take on the total responsibility from modeling to design to rollout to upkeep.

You will naturally be at expert level with all things related to building and running an efficient database installation. Some programming experience (most preferably in Java) will be required to smooth out interactions with downstream users. You can learn about integration with Java, R or Excel while on the job.
